Pool House SSAS was established to provide business owners, company directors and family-run businesses with knowledgeable, straightforward support in managing Small Self-Administered Pension Schemes.

Our team has worked together across a number of businesses for many years, building extensive experience in pension administration and professional trustee services. Pool House SSAS brings that experience together under the Pool House brand, providing clients with a dedicated team focused specifically on the ongoing management of their schemes.

Our directors bring together decades of financial services experience with hands-on knowledge of SSAS administration. Clients deal directly with a team who know their scheme, understand what is happening and are available when support is needed.

David Burns

Director
David began his career in financial services more than 30 years ago and has acted as a Professional Trustee for clients with Small Self-Administered Schemes for over 15 years. His extensive experience gives clients access to practical knowledge developed through many years of working with business owners, pension schemes and professional advisers.

Fiona Haigh

Director
Fiona has worked alongside David since 2007 and oversees the operational management of Pool House SSAS. She is responsible for developing and integrating processes across the business to ensure administration is handled efficiently and consistently, while also supporting the day-to-day administration of client schemes when required.

Abby Wheeler

Director
Abby has worked with David and Fiona since December 2017 across a number of businesses and is responsible for much of the day-to-day administration of Pool House SSAS schemes. As a main point of contact for scheme members, Abby helps coordinate ongoing administration, documentation and communication to ensure clients are kept informed throughout.

Our Wider Financial Advice Team

Pool House SSAS specialises in the administration of Small Self-Administered Schemes. Where clients also require regulated financial advice, we can work alongside colleagues within the wider Pool House Group to provide joined-up support around their broader financial planning needs.

Financial advice is provided separately through Pool House Advisers which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Phoebe Kalsi

Client Director
Phoebe is Client Director at Pool House Group and one of the firm’s registered Financial Advisers. Having joined the business in 2011, she is also a member of the Investment Committee, contributing to decisions around the management of client investment portfolios. Where a Pool House SSAS client requires regulated financial advice alongside their scheme administration, Phoebe can work with them to consider their wider financial objectives and ensure their pension and investment planning fits with their longer-term goals.

Alex Carter

Client Manager
Alex joined Pool House Group in September 2021 and has progressed from Administrator to Client Manager. She has completed her Level 4 Paraplanner Apprenticeship and is currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Services. Alex works closely with David and his clients, providing day-to-day support and helping to coordinate queries and ongoing financial planning requirements. Where a SSAS client also needs advice from the wider Pool House team, Alex can help ensure communication between the administration and advisory sides remains clear and joined up.
